For starters, we recommend keeping the entourage as small as possible. The more opinions that you have in the room, the more difficult it will be to find your dress!
Here are some of our top recommendations of who to bring with you.
MOM
Many brides consider their mom to be the most important opinion. Some brides won’t even think about saying yes to a dress until they have their mom’s approval!
This is why we put her on the list of the most important people to have there with you for wedding dress shopping. After all, who knows your style and what suits you best, better than your mom?! Plus, you can usually count on her to give her honest opinion.
Whether she lives next door to you or across the country, she should be part of the experience. Even if she can’t be there in person, get her on Facetime or Zoom!
A FRIEND
So, you have your mom for her honesty. Now, you should bring someone who will be sure to hype you up! This can be your sister, maid of honor, childhood best friend… even your brother! A little bit of unconditional support never hurts.
But again, try not to include too many people. It can be hard to say no to people who want to come, but remember that it’s your wedding dress and your opinion is the most important one.
Some people who are close to you might have completely different styles than you. While this is obviously okay, think about how opinionated they are. Are they going to push you toward something that you don’t love? Or will they love anything that you love?
