OUR TIPS FOR SHOPPING A BRIDAL SAMPLE SALE
Here are some of our tips for shopping a bridal sample sale!
Search online for local sample sales
If you already know that you want to try and find your dress at a steep discount, the try to find some sample sales near you! Look up “bridal sample sales near me” or “wedding dress sales near me” to see if there are any near you. If there are more than one coming up around you, then you can do some research and figure out which one(s) you don’t want to miss!
Do research beforehand
When we say do some research beforehand, we mean more than just researching which stores are holding sample sales. Try to get an idea of the wedding dress styles that you like! This could be fabrics, silhouettes, sleeves or no sleeves, and more. You can do this research online or even by having a dress appointment during a time that’s not a sample sale.
Be sure to follow the social media of the shop that you’ll be shopping their sample sale from! Personally, we post dresses that will be available at our sample sale in the weeks leading up to our sale.
Be ready to buy
If you’re shopping a sample sale, be ready to buy a dress if you fall in love with it! If you don’t, then the dress could be sold before you come back to buy it. Most bridal shops will not hold a dress for you during a sample sale, but you can always ask.
Book an appointment
If the bridal shop offers appointments during their sample sales, we definitely suggest booking one! For us, we actually only operate by appointment, even during our sample sales. This allows us to give one-on-one attention to our brides, and you won’t feel like you’re missing out on the true wedding dress shopping experience!
If possible, shop during the week
If you are able to take off work or have a flexible schedule, we definitely suggest booking an appointment on a weekday rather than a weekend for a sample sale — especially if you’re not a fan of crowds! Although we have private areas for our appointments, weekend sample sale dates get busy.
Bring your closest, most trusted loved ones
We suggest this for any appointment, but especially during a sample sale… only bring a couple of your closest friends or family members. Only choose people whose opinion you really trust! Avoid bringing an entire entourage… too many opinions tends to lead to problems!
